1 Dimitrie Ghica Park


The Dimitrie Ghica Park was established in 1881 under the close guidance of the swiss landscape architect, Eder. The inside alleys are bordered by century-old trees, shrubs and coloured flower beds. Each year, the park becomes the venue for the Sinaia Festival , concerts and different types of events.

2 Casino International Conference Centre


The Sinaia Casino is located in Dimitrie Ghica Park and was built at the initiative of King Carol I of Romania between 1912- 1913. The main shareholder of the casino was Baron of Marçay,also  shareholder in the Monte Carlo Casino. The opening was celebrated with fireworks and a piano recital by George Enescu and it became a major attraction in the period between the World Wars.
Visiting tours are organised from Wednesday to Sunday from 10.00 – 17.00.

3 The Museum of Sinaia


A very beautifull heritage palace and one of the first villas build in the town. It was established in 1875.

4  The Museum of Bucegi Reservation

It was founded in 1976 and is a part of the County  Museum of Natural Sciences of Prahova.
Visiting program: every day except mondays, from 9.00 to 17.00

5 Sinaia Town Hall


The town hall of Sinaia is located on Bd. Carol I No 47, since 1905, when the building was purchased from  the Ghica family . Between 2012-2014 the building was completely renovated .

6 Centrul Cultural Carmen Sylva


It was built in 1898 and starting with 1899, the building served for the first mixed  primary school of the town. Since 2008, after extensive renovations, the building is serving as the city cultural house.

7 Biserica Romano – Catolică

Is located on Poșta Alley at number 5 and was built in 1939.

8 Biserica Sfântul Ilie


Sfantul Ilie Church was built between 1933 and 1939 by local craftsmen, after the plan drawn up by the teacher Smărăndescu in Romanian Byzantine style.

9 Miniature Trains Museum – Sinaia Railway Station 

The museum houses an impressive exhibition of miniature trains and was opened in 2009 in Sinaia Train Station.

10 George Enescu Memorial House


It is located in Cumpătu  area, on the right side of Prahova River. The villa was built between 1923 and 1926. Made in authentic Romanian style and harmoniously integrated in Bucegi mountains landscape, the  “Luminis” villa has been both a place of inspiration for a significant part of Enescu’s masterworks and a place  of recreation as the great composer George Enescu lived here for 20 years, between 1926 and 1946

11 Sinaia Monastery


This is the first monastery from the region and is dedicated to the Assumption. Its construction lasted five years, from 1690 until 1695 and was founded by Mihail Cantacuzino. Today, all visitors can admire the Old Church, Transfiguration Chapel and Holy Trinity Church (built between 1842-1846) but also  a museum with many exhibits.

12 Molomoț Cross


This stone cross is the only physical evidence of the existence of the Hermitage of St. Nicholas, the first monastic settlement in the area, certified since 1581. In 2014 the Molomoț  Cross was reclaimed to the sightseeing  of Sinaia.

13 Peleş Castle


The Peles Castle, the summer residence of the Romanian royal couple, King Carol I and Queen Elizabeth, was built between 1873 and 1914. It is considered to be the most important Romanian architectural ensemble of  historicist type , having an unique character. Throught its historical and artistic value, Peles Castle remains one of the most important and beautiful monuments in Europe.

14 Pelişor Castle

The Pelişor Castle was built between 1899 and 1902 and is part of the vast architectural ensemble created by King Carol I  on the valley of the  Peleș stream.


15 Nicolae Iorga Memorial House

The great historian lived his last moments of life in Sinaia, in this villa, from where he was raised by the legionaries in 1940. It is not open to the public.

On the Mountain

16 Sfânta Ana Rock


Shrouded in the Bucegi mountains legends,  Sfânta Ana rock was a  retreat place for the hermits. From the leveled meadow  at the base of the cliff, the panorma of the city is wonderful.

17 Stâna Târle Chalet


Stana Tarle chalet is located at 1600 meters altitude,  in a wonderful landscape at the junction of the ski slopes ” Drum de Vara” and “Târle”, away from the urban bustle. The chalet has five rooms, double and triple rooms, a cozy living room, terrace and a spa area.

18 Poiana Stânii


The Poiana Stânii is a wonderful alpine meadow, located at 1270 meters altitude,  considered as an oasis of tranquility with wonderful scenery, unique in Romania.
